Our Work In Action
Partnering with hospitals is how Access Physicians is improving access to world-class specialty care for communities of all sizes across the country. See how we do this and some of the results we've accomplished.
Specialty Care for Patients | Advancing Services and Quality for Hospitals and Clinics
Amanda Horton, M.D., a maternal fetal medicine specialist, highlights how her care for patients is augmented through high-quality communication with OBs, staff, and others to help ensure the best care.
Partnership Integrates Pulmonary Services to Help Keep Patients Close to Home
Hill Country Medical Center, located in Fredericksburg, Texas, helps keep patients closer to home with Access Physicians and their pulmonary and critical care telemedicine program. Physicians, nurses, and administrators recognized the value quickly as patients and families saw firsthand what great care looks like through a seamless telemedicine experience.
Expanding access in an emergency to patients
When she least expected it, Natalie found help from a hospital with a specialist hundreds of miles away.
“Access Physicians saved my life and I know it will save countless others. This is one of the best things to happen to our community, ever. I can never tell them thank you enough for giving me my life!”
Partnership gives Cuero residents access to high-quality cardiology close to home
One year after launching a telecardiology service with Access Physicians, Cuero Regional Hospital has been able to see more than 100 heart patients and keep most of them from being transferred to remote locations for care, away from family and friends and known care providers. Prior to the partnership with Access Physicians, local residents requiring cardiology care had to be transferred to other hospitals farther away.
More than Telemedicine.
Today, telemedicine should be about more than technology.
That’s why Access Physicians designed its business around the very best patient care possible.
Designed by physician leaders. For hospitals. For patients.
